Our mission is serving New Thought .
We work with New Thought ministers all over the world and from all denominations as well as independents.
The main qualifying factor is that a ministry is indeed a New Thought Ministry and thus listed in the Universal Directory.
Our mission precludes working with fundamentalists or with "New Age" ministries.
We respect all love based ministries but we must put our energy into the best of love based paths:
New Thought. We get many requests for help from fundamentalists but our mission precludes us from supporting any fundamentalists.
For some reason fundamentalists seem to be excellently in tune to seeking the help they
need to expand their audience. As a New Thought Ministry, our mission is to
"empower seekers and sharers of New Thought. |
Albert Grier as well as Charles and Myrtle Fillmore championed the idea that "Truth should be told not sold."
This hearkens back to the Ancient Greeks, the Buddha, as well as Christ who all believed that for the world to be a become more peaceful,
peace must first be attained within the human soul.
Our senior minister founded the Anna Cora Mowatt collection of American Drama in Vienna Austria with a special emphasis on American women playwrights such as Rochelle Owens. Anna Cora Mowatt was America's first professional playwright. We are a support ministry. Unlike membership organizations which charge you an annual membership fee, we have no fees.

Serving New Thought was begun during a Fulbright Grant in 1992
when the founding minister desired to find a New Thought Center in Vienna, Austria.
At this time the internet was mainly used by scholars and the vehicle for sharing the
directory was Compuserve. The idea of using domain names was not fully developed as at
the time those of us using the internet would use bulletin board systems and telnet.
From these humble beginnings, Global New Thought grew to serve all denominations of
New Thought as well as independent centers around the world. With the influx of large
numbers of people onto the web, domain names became essential to insuring easy access
to all seekers of New Thought wisdom.

| Feedback has resulted in improvements. We serve both Seekers and Sharers of New Thought wisdom and we listen carefully to what our users tell us. The directory has millions of visitors and we are always making adjustments to insure easier access to information, clarity in organization. as well as improved aesthetics. In different parts of the world, certain denominations are more successful than others. Because the world has a variety of cultures, the variety within New Thought meets the needs of different peoples. We support all denominations and encourage alliances such as the Dothan, Alabama combination Unity & Science of Mind Center. We understand that different denominations take different approaches and thus resonate with different people. We also understand that we are all talking about the same principles and simply using different approaches to the same challenge of facilitating human enlightenment. |
| A common challenge for ministries is good advice concerning domain names, metatags, audio files and other technology questions.
We have spoken with a number of ministers who ask us questions about these issues and then after we share our knowledge with them, they confess to having paid over 200 dollars an hour to get the same advice from private consultants. We provide the road map to elegant solutions that assist in excellence in ministry. This is because our Senior Minister has extensive media & web experience.

| Serving New Thought is dedicated to making New Thought available to all people in all languages. We sponsor webs for New Thought ministers around the world. In many cases we are the first New Thought institution to offer support to ministers in the international arena regardless of their denomination. Quite often New Thought ministries outside the United States are simply forgotten. We insure that the opportunity to learn and live New Thought Principles is provided worldwide.
Today, it seems obvious that spiritual teachings such as New Thought which teach Spiritual Evolution and loving kindness need to be shared. New Thought Library is one of these vehicles. New Thought Ministers are the motivated and compassionate drivers for these vehicles insuring that humanity is provided with the opportunity to Spiritually Evolve and thus to insure a beautiful future for our children which is characterized by universal respect for all love based spiritual paths and implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for all people in all places. |
